APC's cancer support ministry is a confidential ministry that supports cancer survivors and their families and friends in a caring, safe, and confidential Christian community. The group plays a vital role in helping participants deal with the many issues and concerns that surround a diagnosis of cancer. Our group currently meets upstairs in room 202 on the 2nd and 4th Thursday's of each month.
Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus' command to love one another. Through one-to-one caring relationships between a Stephen Minister and a care receiver, those who are hurting receive the love and care they need to support them. If you would like to know more about becoming a Stephen Minister, or have a need that may benefit from a relationship with a Stephen Minister, please contact the church office.
These ministries serve people with medical concerns, loss of job, addition of a new baby, or a death in the family. A family care deacon is usually the first deacon to contact a family. This deacon looks for ways in which the church may be helpful and coordinates with the pastoral staff, prayer team, meals coordinator, gift card coordinator, or other resources within APC as are appropriate for the situation.
The Visitation Team ministry matches congregational volunteers with shut-ins or members who have trouble getting out. If you would like to be a "visitor" or know someone in need of "visitors", please contact the church office.
